See ya later Spring 2011!

So I just realized I didn’t have to blog this week, buttttttt…here it is anyways.

In many ways it is hard to believe that we are coming to the end of the semester.  This week I ask that you reflect on the semester. What were the highs and the lows? What would you want to change & why? What have you learned that you will take with you into the next semester?

Man, what a semester. Literally every Monday my roommates and I talk about how we can’t believe it’s Monday and it’s going to be such a long week, and then on Thursday we don’t understand where the week went and why our lives are flying by so fast.

In terms of schooling, I really liked that I got to get into my major. I took PR Writing, PR Research, and Social Media & PR. It’s amazing how much I’ve learned with only having Intro to PR this past fall. So that is definitely a high point of the semester. I genuinely felt like an upperclassman, which was nice.

I also had a great time working at Career Services. I love everybody I work with and we have bonded into a little Career Services family. It’ll be sad to see it all end. And to see all the Graduate Assistants graduate and move on to do great things with their lives. Add this to the “high points” list.

Living with my roommates is the final high point of the semester since I decided to limit myself to 3 so I don’t start rambling on and on. I’ve had pretty terrible luck with roommates until them, and so it’s a whole different world living with lovely people. And I’m thankful for them and making my semester and my life in general all the better.

And with the highs come the lows…

Okay so although I feel I had a catchy cliché transition, I don’t really have a lot of lows. Or really any that I can think of. That’s good right? But that’s just about me and my life. Everything that happened in Japan and most recently Tuscaloosa has been devastating, and has definitely been an upset for the semester.

As far as what I have learned, I’ve learned to take everything on a day by day basis. I focus on having fun, and school and keeping that balance. I’m much less stressed than I was last semester which is extremely good news for me. I will be keeping this mindset through the upcoming semesters, especially to get me through the tough classes I have lined up for myself in the fall. I will also take all the PR skills I have learned in all my classes to help benefit me in my last PR classes I will have to take.

Changes? I have none. I’m all about the everything happens for a reason, so no changes from this girl.

It’s been a great blogging time fellow classmates! I’ll try to keep my WordPress up, and I’ll be photo-blogging until the end of time….or at least until my 365 day challenge is over :)
