Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson would be proud.

What is on your bucket list and what do you want to be remembered for?
I saw the movie the “Bucket List” and was determined when I saw it not to cry, but I cracked. I do like the idea of a bucket list. Not only is it fun to create lists and cross things off, but I think it serves as good motivation. I feel like a lot of people have a bucket list in their head but don’t actually follow through with it. If you have it actually written down and give it a solid effort to do everything you want to do before you die…it can be very beneficial. It also gives you things to look forward to. I’m all for a bucket list, and everyone who knows me knows I want to go everywhere and do everything. I almost feel like I want to do too much that it can be impossible to narrow it down.
1. Study abroad (being accomplished summer after graduation, May 2012. Walking in May but saving an extra elective hour to study abroad Hooray! )
2. Backpack in Europe (sleep in hostels, rough it, the works)
3. Visit Niagara Falls
4. Hit every continent
5. Go skydiving (my lovely boss just went skydiving and we got to watch her video of it today…inspiring)
6. Take a hot air balloon ride.
7. Swim with the dolphins with my mother
8. Road trip cross-country
9. Donate a substantial amount of money to charity
10. Get my 15 minutes of fame
11. Run a 10k
And i probably missed another million cliché things. But I genuinely do want to do all of these , among many more that I can’t think of at the moment. Hopefully some of these are different from everyone else’s
As far as being remembered, I’d like to just be remembered. I don’t have any requests, just to remember me in general.

I completely agree with you that it is great motivation for people to write out their goals. It gives people things to look forward to in life. I think you have great goals to accomplish on your bucket list. One thing that is really cool is the goal to go skydiving. My boyfriend went skydiving and he said it was absolutely amazing. I am terrified of the idea of going skydiving, but I think if the opportunity was handed to me I would have to take it.
But what happens when you cross everything off the list? Then what? Or if you never get the chance to cross everything off? What happens then?
I don’t like the idea of a bucket list. It seems to put an imaginary clock on your life. You only have so much time to get these things done, then when that clock runs out, you die.
Nice list though. I just don’t like thinking about these things….

I like your list even though you say most people probably said the same things. It’s okay because your experience won’t be the same as anyone else experiences. Plus you can always add or cross something off to continue making it your own.
Lauren this is an awesome bucket list! Reading yours definitely puts mine to shame. I want to go skydiving sooooooooooooooooo bad. If you take me with you, Ill go backpacking in Europe (lol). I would love to donate a substantial amount of money to charity too, or start my own. Of course, dont we all want our 15 minutes of fame?!

Your bucket list is exciting! I hope you enjoy studying abroad. I wanted to do that, too.

Great list! I’m slightly jealous of your study abroad trip! It would make me very happy to be able to donate a substantial amount of money to charity. That’s a wonderful thing to include on your list.
